Coming Back to Yourself Through Small Rituals
Society puts so much pressure on us when it comes to productivity. Many of us feel like we are a hamster on a wheel, constantly running toward the next task and checklist item. This pace leaves us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and uninspired. We all hold many roles that demand energy, and when we don’t have daily rituals that help refill our cup, it can often lead to burnout. I’ve experienced burnout a few times, and that is why I learned that sometimes I need to say No to things in order to protect and prioritize my energy.
Creating daily rituals that fit your schedule and have a positive impact on your overall wellness isn’t an easy task. For starters, it will take consistency and some tinkering to find a steady flow. Secondly, you must give yourself grace and remember that you’re building new habits — that doesn’t happen overnight. You also need to stop searching for perfection. We are not aiming for a flawless routine; we are aiming to create small, intentional rituals. They can be as simple as making yourself a calming cup of tea at the end of the day.
I recently asked our Instagram followers what some of their small rituals are, and this is what they shared:
Going outside
Taking a moment to breathe
Drinking a cup of tea
Journaling
Getting some movement
Reading a book
Feel free to use this list as inspiration to try something new.
Coming back to yourself means reflecting on how you feel and where you are in your life. Take a moment and truly ask yourself, “How am I feeling?” “What can I do to support myself today?” “Am I prioritizing my well‑being?” Once you’ve answered those, try to implement ONE small ritual and genuinely set the intention to honor it.
Remember you are enough and Keep Shining.
